This your pc protector is fixed itself to my computer. But if I download anything to remove it the programs won’t open.
I was going to just reload the operating system but it wont let me do that either. What can I do???
HELP!!!!!!!
Hi, the problem reported in the comment is usually resolved if you do the follwing:
run your OS in safe mode. To start Safe Mode session, please restart your computer and before Windows starts loading press F8 and hold it until you enter Windows Advanced Options Menu; by using your keyboard choose the following option: Safe Mode with Networking, and let Windows start in Safe Mode. Try to download the antispyware of your choice again. If Security Antivirus still blocks remover download – act as follows:
Step 1: click Start at the left bottom corner of your monitor
Step 2: choose Run in its menu
Step 3: type “command” in the line and click OK or press Enter
Step 4: in the window that is to appear type “notepad”
Step 5: once notepad is open, insert the following text into Notepad by copy and paste:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\.exe\shell\open\command]
[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\secfile\shell\open\command]
[-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.exe\shell\open\command]
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.exe]
@=”exefile”
“Content Type”=”application/x-msdownload”
[-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\secfile]
Step 6: save the resulted file as “exefix.reg” (no quotes) at the Desktop. When saving, please choose All Files at the “Save As” drop-down list. Open “exefix.reg” file (on your Desktop) and press “Yes”. After that you can download Spyware Doctor and other legitimate anti-spyware applications.
If that cannot help you need to remove the infection from another comomputer; attach the infected disk into free of viruses machine and download spyware doctor to treat it
Ok, I have the same problem BUT, I tried to make the file above and it says it is not a registry script and that it can only import binary registry files!! I cannot get into the web browser AT ALL, I CANNOT GET F8 key to work when rebooting AND I cannot get into add/remove programs…I’m at a total loss right now, what else can I do? If I reboot the computer with the installation disk, will it wipe out my pictures? I just tried to burn them onto a cd and the files are to big to even get that done!! HELP
1) Try to make System Restore, before the date of infication
2) if things went so far there is no doubt you have extra infections. However, good anti-spyware will help. Detach infected hard drive and attach to healthy computer. Before that, download and install Spyware Doctor or other software at the healthy PC. Once infected disk is attached, scan infected disk with it. Good luck!
thank you 1 bee system restore was good idia. love this blog ))) I was about to loose all hope but your tips and your tool saved my invaluable pics!
